How to use the
"pull-down" menus and other links
1. Pop-up descriptions of programs on “home” (main) page:
Notice that when
you scroll to the top of the screen when on the home page, you will see a
list of programs on the left. If you move your curser to one of those
program names, a brief description of the program will appear at the top
where the San Diego Housing Commission logo is.
(See illustration at end of page.)
2. Links from
home page to subsections:
If you click on one
of the items on the left-side list, you will be linked to that subsection.
For example, under “General Information,” you can click on “About Us and
Our Programs” to get an overview of what the Housing Commission does.
3. Pull-down
menus:
Once you go to a
main section such as “Housing Assistance,” you will see a pulldown menu
which lists subsections such as “First-time homebuyer loans/grants.” You
can click on that subsection to go to a description of that program.
4. Pop-out
Menus:
You will notice
when the pull-down menu appears under “Housing Assistance,” another menu to
the sometimes also appears next to it. For example, to the right of
“Getting Help Getting Ahead,” another menu, “Business Opportunities” pops
up. You can click on that topics within that menu to go directly to
information about business opportunities.
5. “Additional
information” bar on some pages:
On some main
subsection pages, there will be a bar with an arrow pointing down that
says, “Additional information.” If you click on this bar, you will find
information related to the main subsection page. For example, in the
“Commission-owned apartments/houses” page, the “Additional information”
bar leads you to such links as “About our waiting list.”
